Prince Reza Pahlavi's Visit to The Hague: Meetings with the Free Iran Committee and Lawmakers, and a Welcome from Iranians in the Netherlands

In The Hague, Prince Reza Pahlavi met the Free Iran Committee, lawmakers, media and justice-seeking families, addressed the Dutch parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, and was welcomed by Iranians in the Netherlands. The reports and messages from the trip follow in order.

As Prince Reza Pahlavi arrives in The Hague to speak at the Committee on Foreign Affairs of Dutch House of Representatives, his message to the Netherlands and Europe is clear:

Over 40,000 Iranians didn’t die in January for a nuclear deal or opening the strait of Hormuz. They died for freedom.

You in the Netherlands know about fighting tyranny. Queen Wilhelmina and your brave resistance fought the Nazis to liberate your nation - today millions of Iranians are fighting an evil regime for the same values.

We ask for you to stand with the people of Iran. To stand for freedom.

Iranians in the Netherlands are preparing the gathering place and speaking platform in The Hague to welcome Prince Reza Pahlavi.

The event is being held during the “Global Week of Action for a Free Iran” and coincides with Prince Reza Pahlavi's trip to the Netherlands.
Continuing his efforts to win the maximum support of the international community for the people of Iran, Prince Reza Pahlavi has travelled to the Netherlands.

Today in The Hague, Prince Reza Pahlavi met with members of the Free Iran Committee. The meeting examined ways for Europe to give practical support to the Iranian people, to deepen the Islamic Republic's international isolation, and to strengthen a coherent policy in support of a democratic transition in Iran.

A remarkable welcome by Iranians in the Netherlands for Prince Reza Pahlavi in The Hague:

“Long live the Pahlavi dynasty”

Global Week of Action for a Free Iran

Prince Reza Pahlavi's message after his address to the Dutch parliament:

I want to thank the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Dutch House of Representatives for inviting me to speak today on behalf of millions of my compatriots fighting for liberty, justice, and democracy.

I am grateful to the Dutch police and parliamentary security services for their professionalism, assistance, and protection.

My heartfelt thanks also go to our Iranian compatriots who gathered respectfully outside Parliament to stand with the people of Iran.

The message I brought to The Hague was simple: the plight of the Iranian people must become the driving focus of international policy on Iran. Empowering them, not emboldening this regime, will bring lasting peace and stability.

During his visit to The Hague, Prince Reza Pahlavi told lawmakers, politicians, and the media that global policy on Iran must focus on the Iranian people, not the Islamic Republic.

He met with members of the Free Iran Committee, parliamentarians, Dutch and international media, justice-seeking families, and Iranian activists. In his speech to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch House of Representatives, he stressed that a free, secular, democratic Iran would benefit not only the Iranian people, but also Dutch security, European stability, and lasting peace in the Middle East.
