Prince Reza Pahlavi's Op-Ed in the Dutch Weekly Elsevier Weekblad

In an op-ed for the Dutch weekly Elsevier Weekblad, Prince Reza Pahlavi argued that Iran's future is also a European question, and that the people of the Netherlands have a direct stake in a free, secular and democratic Iran. The Office of Prince Reza Pahlavi published part of the op-ed:

"For too long, Iran has been seen in Europe mainly through the lens of nuclear negotiations, regional conflicts and energy security.

But Iran's future is also a European question."

In the op-ed, published in Elsevier Weekblad, the largest news and analysis weekly in the Netherlands, Prince Reza Pahlavi explains why the people of the Netherlands have a direct stake in a free, secular and democratic Iran: an Iran that no longer exports terrorism, instability, hostage-taking and extremism beyond its borders.

Drawing on the Netherlands' own history of resistance to tyranny, the op-ed makes a simple argument: those who fight for freedom must not be left alone.
