Office of Prince Reza Pahlavi Marks Doctors' Day, Honoring the Physicians Who Became Javidnam on 18–19 Dey

On 1 Shahrivar, the birthday of Avicenna (Abu Ali Sina) and Doctors' Day, we pay tribute — above all in memory of the physicians who stood by their medical oath and, to treat compatriots wounded by the criminal cult of the Islamic Republic over the past 47 years, took risks, were threatened, and gave their lives.

Today we honor the memory of all the physicians and medical staff who treated the wounded in hospitals, private clinics, and even their own homes; and of the physicians who, on 18 and 19 Dey, stood up to the killers delivering coups de grâce to the wounded, and became javidnam (immortal).

Honored be the memory of those who gave their lives in the path of healing, and may their names live forever.
