"Free Iran and the European Union" Conference in Düsseldorf, September 6, 2026
The "Free Iran and the European Union" conference brought together Iranian and European political figures, experts, activists and professionals in Düsseldorf — a forum on the transition from the Islamic Republic, the rebuilding of the country and the future of a free Iran's relations with Europe.
In the conference's Persian and English panels, participants examined the economy, investment, technology, the rule of law, civil society, the transition period and the reconstruction of Iran. The aim: to turn hope into a plan, the plan into readiness, and readiness into a safe, democratic transition.
The conference's message was clear: on this path the European Union can play an important and historic role.
Europe should not see the Iran of tomorrow merely as a crisis it will one day have to manage. A free Iran can be a strategic partner for Europe — in trade, energy, technology, environmental protection, education, culture and regional security. And that partnership begins today.
In closing, the organisers thanked the Iran–Germany Association and its partner groups for hosting the event, and all the speakers, experts and participants who came from near and far.
