Prince Reza Pahlavi's Interview with Australia's ABC Radio National, September 17, 2026

In an interview with Australia's ABC national radio, Prince Reza Pahlavi said he has never asked any foreign government to support him personally, and listed the principles that can unite Iranians. The Office of Prince Reza Pahlavi wrote:

“I have never asked any foreign government to support me personally, because I am not the issue. The issue is 93 million Iranians who have the right to determine their own destiny.”

In an interview with Australia's ABC national radio, Prince Reza Pahlavi stressed that he sees his role as creating the conditions for a transition to democracy, so that after the fall of the Islamic Republic the Iranian people can freely choose the country's future political system.

Prince Reza Pahlavi described Iran's territorial integrity, the separation of religion and state, the equality of citizens before the law, individual freedoms, and determining the future political system through a democratic path as principles that can unite diverse political currents. Talks with the world's governments and parliaments serve the realization of this very goal and the right of the Iranian nation to determine its own political destiny.
